ABOUT US

We evaluate and treat children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of physical and emotional problems at Cognitive Rehabilitation of Georgia. We tailor our services to the unique needs and issues of each person. Although we see patients with a wide range of problems, we specialize in evaluating and treating people with the following problems:
- Traumatic brain injury and other neurological disorders
- Chronic physical pain and illness
- Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD)
- Learning disabilities and academic problems
- Anger control problems
- Anxiety, panic and depression
- Psychological adjustment to traumatic events

Our evaluations are comprehensive and provide detailed information about a person's cognitive, emotional, physical, and social functioning. We frequently are asked to assess and provide recommendations concerning exceptionally complex cases. Patients are referred to CRG from throughout the Southeast and periodically from other regions of the country.

We provide highly targeted treatments that are designed to make a significant difference in the quality of a person's everyday life. We utilize a number of treatment approaches that have been shown to be uniquely effective for specific conditions. Treatment may address physical problems such as brain injury, pain or other problems associated with chronic injury or illness. Individuals who have problems that cannot be remediated are taught compensatory strategies. Emotional and adjustment difficulties may be the most important issues for some people. We help our clients build a life that has meaning and purpose.

We have extensive experience and training in psychology and neuropsychology. Neuropsychology is a specialization within psychology that is concerned with a person's ability to function following neurological injury or illness.
